The Rogue River Chieftains ran into a buzzsaw Friday night, falling to St. Mary's of Medford by a final score of 60-19. The Chieftains came in looking to build on their earlier win of the season, but the Crusaders had other plans, putting together a dominant performance that left little room for Rogue River to find its footing.

St. Mary's controlled the game from early on, and the Chieftains could never quite close the gap or generate the momentum needed to turn the tide. Rogue River did manage to put 19 points on the board, showing some fight, but the deficit proved too steep to overcome against a Medford squad that looked sharp on both sides of the ball.

The Chieftains drop to 1-3 on the season with the loss, and the road ahead calls for some quick adjustments. Rogue River has shown it can compete, and the coaching staff will no doubt be looking at the film hard this week. The Chieftains will have a chance to bounce back when they return to action next week.
