Hidden Valley Mustangs Boys Soccer 0-5 Phoenix

Phoenix handed Hidden Valley a 5-0 loss Tuesday in Skyline Conference (4A) boys soccer, played at Hidden Valley's home field in Grants Pass, Oregon. The Mustangs were unable to find the back of the net against a Phoenix side that controlled the match from start to finish, scoring five unanswered goals. The shutout drops Hidden Valley to 2-6-1 overall and 1-6 in league play, making the path to a conference postseason berth increasingly difficult with limited regular season games remaining. On the bright side, the Mustangs remain at home for their next opportunity, giving them a chance to regroup on familiar ground and fight for another league win before the season closes out. Improvement in both defensive shape and finishing will be key areas to address heading into that next contest.
