North Medford Black Tornado Football 50-0 Newberg

North Medford's football team posted a dominant 50-0 shutout victory over Newberg on Friday night at home in Medford, Oregon, giving the Black Tornado a much-needed non-league win. The Black Tornado, who compete in the Southwest Conference at the 6A level, were playing outside of conference play and delivered their most complete performance of the season. The lopsided final score reflects a commanding effort on both sides of the ball, with North Medford's defense holding Newberg scoreless through four quarters. The win moves North Medford to 3-4 overall, a welcome boost after a difficult stretch earlier in the season. The conference record stands at 0-2, meaning the Black Tornado still have work to do within Southwest Conference play. Still, a 50-point shutout is a statement performance that can do wonders for team confidence and momentum heading into the final weeks of the regular season. North Medford will look to build on this showing when they return to action next week.
