South Medford Panthers Boys Soccer 1-0 Roseburg

A single goal was all South Medford needed Saturday, as the Panthers secured a 1-0 boys soccer victory at Roseburg to move to 3-3-1 on the season. The Medford, Oregon, program made the trip north and came away with a critical Southwest Conference (6A) road win, improving to 2-0 in league play.

With the margin as slim as it gets, South Medford's defense proved just as important as its attack, shutting out the Indians on their home pitch. Picking up three points in conference play away from home is no small task in the Southwest Conference, and Saturday's result gives the Panthers real momentum heading into the heart of the schedule.

After a mixed start to the fall, South Medford has now won two of its last three and sits at a perfect 2-0 in league, positioning itself nicely in the conference standings. The Panthers will look to keep that conference record clean when they return to action next week.
