Phoenix Pirates Girls Volleyball 3-0 Willamette

Phoenix volleyball rolled to a clean sweep Saturday, defeating Willamette 3-0 in a non-league home match at Phoenix High School in Phoenix, Oregon. The Skyline Conference (4A) program improved to 3-0 on the season, building on an already promising start to the fall campaign.
The Fire controlled the match from start to finish, taking all three sets against the visiting Wolverines without allowing a set victory. Playing in front of a home crowd, Phoenix showed the kind of consistency that has defined its early-season run, winning each of its three matches without dropping a set along the way.
The non-league result gives the program added confidence heading into the heart of its schedule. Sweeping a road-tested opponent in straight sets is never a given at the high school level, and Phoenix made it look routine.
The Fire will look to keep the momentum going next week as they continue building their resume ahead of Skyline Conference play.
