South Medford Panthers Boys Volleyball 3-6 Grants Pass

The season-opening match didn't go as planned for South Medford on Monday night. The Panthers dropped their boys volleyball league opener to visiting Grants Pass 6-3 at home, setting an early challenge for the 2026 campaign.

Grants Pass came ready to play in this cross-valley matchup, taking control of the match and putting the Panthers in catch-up mode throughout the evening. Despite playing on their home court, South Medford couldn't find the rhythm needed to overcome the Cavemen's balanced attack.

The loss puts the Panthers at 0-1 overall and 0-1 in conference play as they begin what they hope will be a competitive spring season. Head coach and players will look to regroup and make adjustments as they prepare for their next league contest.

With plenty of season remaining, South Medford has time to build chemistry and find their identity on the court. The Panthers will look to bounce back in their next outing as they continue league play in the competitive Rogue Valley volleyball scene.
