Rogue River Chieftains Softball 5-15 North Valley

North Valley's offensive firepower proved too much for Rogue River in Friday's league softball matchup, as the visitors rolled to a 15-5 victory at Rogue River High School.
The loss drops Rogue River to 4-15 overall and 0-6 in conference play as they continue searching for their first league win of the season. North Valley jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, consistently finding gaps in the Rogue River defense while putting together several multi-run innings.
Despite the lopsided score, Rogue River managed to plate five runs against a tough North Valley pitching staff, showing glimpses of the offensive potential that could serve them well down the stretch. The team has been working to develop younger players throughout what has been a challenging campaign.
With league play continuing, Rogue River will look to regroup and focus on the fundamentals that have been a point of emphasis in recent practices. The team's next opportunity comes as they prepare for their upcoming conference matchups in the final weeks of the regular season.
