North Valley Knights Football 34-27 Mazama

North Valley pulled out a 34-27 football victory over Mazama on Friday night in Grants Pass, Oregon, a Southern Oregon Conference (3A) league game that gave the Knights a much-needed boost heading into the back half of the season. The win moves North Valley to 2-4 overall and 2-2 in conference play, a milestone that keeps the Knights very much in the mix for a postseason spot. Trailing for stretches of the contest, North Valley showed resilience by holding off a Mazama squad that kept the game competitive deep into the fourth quarter. The seven-point margin tells the story of a hard-fought evening where neither team could pull away cleanly. For a Knights program that entered the night at 1-4 and searching for momentum, the victory carries real significance, both for confidence and for the standings. North Valley will look to build on this result as league play continues, with every remaining game carrying postseason implications.
