Illinois Valley Cougars Boys Soccer 8-0 Siuslaw

Illinois Valley's boys soccer team left no doubt on Thursday, rolling to an 8-0 shutout victory at Siuslaw in a Sunset Conference (2A) road contest. The Wolfpack, based in Cave Junction, Oregon, controlled the match from start to finish, putting together one of their most commanding performances of the fall. The dominant win improved Illinois Valley's overall record to 5-4-3 on the season and pushed their Sunset Conference mark to 5-3, a strong position as the regular season heads toward its final weeks. After a stretch earlier in the year that included several draws, the Wolfpack appear to be hitting their stride at the right time. A clean sheet on the road against a conference opponent speaks to the team's defensive cohesion as much as its attacking output. Illinois Valley will look to carry this momentum into their next matchup and continue building toward a postseason run.
