Both teams brought their bats to Thurston on Friday, but Eagle Point's offense proved more potent in a wild 17-12 softball victory that kept the Eagles rolling through league play.

The high-scoring affair saw Eagle Point build enough cushion to withstand a persistent Thurston attack in what turned into one of the season's most entertaining contests. With 29 total runs scored between the teams, pitchers took a backseat to an offensive clinic that had fans on both sides reaching for their scorecards.

The victory moves Eagle Point to 12-4 overall and maintains their impressive 8-1 conference mark, keeping them firmly in control of their league destiny as the regular season winds down. The Eagles have now won their last several contests and continue to show the offensive firepower that makes them dangerous in any postseason scenario.

Eagle Point will look to keep their momentum rolling when they return home for their next league matchup, where another strong showing could further solidify their position atop the conference standings.
