Eagle Point boys soccer picked up a crucial road result Tuesday, defeating Crater 3-1 in 5A-5 Southern Oregon Conference Hybrid play. The Eagles, based in Eagle Point, Oregon, made the trip to Central Point, where Crater is located, and came away with three goals to one against the Comets. The win moves Eagle Point to 6-6-1 overall and 2-2 in conference play, pushing the program to the .500 mark for the first time since early in the season. Entering the match at 5-6-1, the Eagles carried real urgency into Central Point, and the 3-1 margin reflected a performance that matched the moment. Holding Crater to a single goal on the road speaks to the defensive composure Eagle Point showed throughout the evening. With the league schedule still in play, Tuesday's result keeps the Eagles well positioned in the conference standings. Eagle Point will look to build on the momentum when it returns to action later this week.
