North Valley Knights Boys Soccer 1-9 Eagle Point

Eagle Point handed North Valley a tough 9-1 defeat in boys soccer Tuesday evening, with the Knights traveling to Eagle Point for this non-league contest. North Valley, based in Grants Pass, Oregon, and competing in the Southern Oregon Conference (3A), found little footing against a sharp Eagle Point side that controlled the match from the opening whistle.

The Eagles built a commanding advantage early and never let the Knights settle into a rhythm. North Valley managed to find the back of the net once, a small bright spot in an otherwise difficult evening on the road. Keeping games competitive and limiting big runs will be a key focus for the coaching staff as the young season develops.

North Valley falls to 0-2 on the year. The Knights will look to use this week's preparation to clean up the defensive miscommunications that allowed Eagle Point so many opportunities. A return to Southern Oregon Conference play will give North Valley a chance to right the ship closer to home.
