St. Mary's School Crusaders Football 60-19 Rogue River
The St. Mary's Crusaders turned in one of their most complete performances of the season Friday night, rolling past Rogue River in a dominant 60-19 victory that wasn't nearly as close as the final score might suggest. St. Mary's came out firing on all cylinders and never let the Rams find their footing, piling up points in bunches while keeping Rogue River's offense largely in check throughout the contest.
It was exactly the kind of statement win the Crusaders needed after a bumpy start to the year. The offense was relentless, moving the ball at will and converting big play after big play, while the defense made life difficult for Rogue River all evening. When a team puts up 60 points, everybody is doing something right, and that was certainly the case for St. Mary's on this night.
With the win, the Crusaders improve to 3-2 on the season, sitting right at the halfway point with plenty of football still ahead. After dropping two of their first four games, this performance should do a lot for momentum and confidence heading into the back half of the schedule. If St. Mary's can play with this kind of energy and execution moving forward, they are going to be a tough out for anyone left on the schedule.
