The Black Tornado couldn't overcome an early deficit in Friday's baseball matchup at Roseburg, falling 6-3 to the Indians in league action. North Medford found themselves trailing throughout most of the contest, unable to string together the timely hits needed to mount a comeback against a resilient Roseburg squad.

The loss drops North Medford to 13-10 overall and 9-8 in conference play, keeping their postseason hopes alive but making every remaining game crucial. Despite the setback, the Black Tornado have shown resilience throughout the spring season and remain in contention for a playoff berth.

Roseburg's pitching staff effectively limited North Medford's offensive opportunities, while the Indians capitalized on their scoring chances to build a lead they wouldn't surrender. The three runs scored showed the Black Tornado's ability to generate offense, but it wasn't enough against a determined home team.

With the regular season winding down, North Medford will need to regroup quickly as they continue their push toward the postseason in the competitive league race.
